About Amir H. Dorafshar, MD
Dr. Dorafshar specialize in facial cosmetic surgery. But the majority of my practice is actually reconstructive surgery from head to toe. I do a lot of complex reconstructions, focused on the face, following cancer, congenital differences or traumatic injuries. A lot of our referrals are from patients who have spoken to their friends and colleagues who have undergone reconstruction and are happy with their results. We talk to them thoroughly about their reconstructive options. And what I like to do is show them representative photographs, show them video clips online, show them some of my previous cases to show the outcomes of what the reconstructions would look like. And then between the patient and myself, we’d have a discussion and we’d come up with a plan.
