More than 8,000 miles separate Manila from Dallas, a journey that board-certified plastic surgeon Alfedo Rodriguez made in stages. It began at the University of Santo Tomas where he earned his bachelor’s degree and doctorate and set himself up for a residency of general surgery at the University of Philippines. In New Jersey, he established his US credentials with a residency in general surgery before completing a residency in plastic surgery at Saint Luke’s Hospital in Cleveland. He first arrived in Dallas as the chairman of the department of surgery at Dallas Regional Medical Center before opening Southwest Plastic Surgery Center. At the center, he and his staff work with patients on liposuction and cosmetic surgeries along with less-invasive options for rejuvenation such as microdermabrasion and chemical peels. Dr. Rodriguez is equally adept at matters of function as of form: he also specializes in hand surgeries that alleviate carpal tunnel syndrome and repetitive-stress injuries. Dr. Alfredo Rodriguez accepts most Health Plans and is recognized as a preferred provider for most major Insurance. If your patient’s Insurance Provider is not listed, he or she may still be covered.
