About Aleksandar L. Krunic, MD
Dr. Krunic is a board certified dermatologist with outstanding skills in both clinical dermatology and dermatologic surgery. His exceptional training includes completion of his dermatology residency at the University of Chicago, an advanced dermatology surgery and laser medicine fellowship at Duke University Medical Center and a Mohs surgery fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He is currently Assistant Professor of Dermatology at University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Krunic was previously the Mohs surgeon at the University of Chicago Hospitals. Dr. Krunic also has a PhD in skin oncology and has authored numerous papers in major medical journals. He is highly sought as an educator and was a featured speaker at the 2004 annual meeting of the European Dermatologic Society. A highly respected dermatologic surgeon, he was chosen as one of the elite faculty for the dermatologic surgery course presented at the 2003 annual meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Krunic has special expertise in skin cancer screening and treatment. He brings to his practice an unsurpassed blend of clinical expertise and exceptional cosmetic surgery skills. Dr. Krunic offers both conventional and Mohs skin cancer surgery as well as other dermatologic surgery and cosmetic surgery procedures (including removal of skin lesions, moles, melanoma, nail surgery, treatment of leg veins, treatment of acne scars, chemical peels, laser surgery etc.). Dr. Krunic is also certified in dermatology in several European countries (former Yugoslavia, Italy, and Great Britain) and brings his overseas experience to our practice.
