About Ajay V. Kumar, MD

Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery since 2004, Dr. Ajay Kumar has extensive experience and training to offer Baltimore area plastic surgery patients. Dr. Kumar received his undergraduate degree in Economics from University of Georgia. He went on to obtain his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and completed his research fellowship in Plastic, Reconstructive and Maxillofacial Surgery at Emory University. He completed his general surgery residency at The Brookdale University Hospital. Dr Kumar received comprehensive training in Plastic Surgery at Medical College of Wisconsin including cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of face, breast and body. Dr Kumar was re-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 2014 and continues to advance his knowledge in the changing and exciting field of Plastic Surgery. Prior to coming to Baltimore, Maryland, Dr Kumar was in practice in Atlanta, Georgia where he served as Chief of Plastic Surgery at Emory Johns Creek Hospital. Dr Kumar is currently on staff at St Agnes Hospital as well as Howard County General Hospital attracting patients from Baltimore, Howard County, and the suburbs of Washington DC.. He specializes in facial cosmetic surgery, breast surgery including augmentations and breast lifts, as well as liposuction and abdominoplasty. Dr. Kumar is married with four children. He enjoys his work and has many hobbies including jogging, swimming, bicycling, and cooking.
