About Adam S. Hassan, MD
Extensive training in the surgeries of the eye and face makes Adam S. Hassan, M.D. uniquely qualified to perform facial cosmetic, reconstructive and functional surgery. Dr. Hassan received his medical degree at the University of Michigan Medical School where he completed a residency in ophthalmology followed by an intensive fellowship in eye plastic, orbital, and facial cosmetic surgery. He remained on faculty at the University of Michigan as Assistant Professor and served as the director of the Facial Cosmetic Surgery Service at the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center. In addition to his clinical and teaching expertise, Dr. Hassan has published numerous journal articles and medical textbook chapters and is a scientific reviewer for leading journals in the field. Dr. Hassan is board-certified and a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. In 2007, Dr. Hassan was invited to join Dr. Meldrum-Aaberg in forming Eye Plastic & Facial Cosmetic Surgery.
