About Aasim Kamal, MD
After completing medical school with honors, Dr. Kamal did ten years of post-graduate training which includes an internship, two residencies, Neurology and Ophthalmology (at New York Medical College), and three fellowships (one in Neuro-Ophthalmology at University of Iowa and two in Refractive Surgery at Gimbel Eye Centre). He was Chief Resident in both his residency programs. His highly specialized training has included personal instruction from world renowned Ophthalmology pioneers. Dr. Kamal has also been involved in research and has authored many articles. He is a member of multiple prestigious ophthalmology societies
