The Specifics

What is a Silhouette Soft® thread lift?

A Silhouette Soft® thread lift is a minor plastic surgery procedure improving jowls, nasolabial folds, and fine lines and wrinkles. During a Silhouette Soft® Thread Lift, coned threads are passed in opposite directions to grasp, lift, and suspend neck and facial tissues. Tissue “gathers” over the cones as the needle is withdrawn.

Over a few months the skin heals with a newly formed collagen protein matrix. The only difference between a Silhouette Soft® Thread Lift and a Silhouette InstaLift® is the thread material. The former is composed of polylactic acid (PLLA) and the latter poly (L-lactide-co-glycolide or PLGA).

What cosmetic concerns does a Silhouette Soft® thread lift procedure treat?

  1. Facial Skin Laxity: A Silhouette Soft® thread lift encourages collagen production lifting and tightening skin.
  2. Neck & Jawline Definition: A Silhouette Soft® thread lift suspends tissues into a lifted position for strategic contouring.

What are the potential side effects of a Silhouette Soft® thread lift procedure?

Possible side effects of a Silhouette Soft® thread lift procedure include skin puckering, site infection, bruising, soreness, swelling, and asymmetry.
