The Specifics
What is Avéli®?
We can all agree it’s about time! Avéli® is the first ever FDA cleared cosmetic procedure designed to treat cellulite. Minimally invasive and performed with local anesthetic, the Avéli® cellulite treatment device releases septa bands, which are the bands of connective tissue that lie beneath the skin surface and cause the dimpled appearance of cellulite.
When performed by an expert provider, Avéli® is a one and done quick and efficient treatment with minimal recovery time. It is worth noting, Avéli® does not address fat tissue or sagging skin.
What cosmetic concerns does Avéli® address??
Cellulite: Avéli® truly is a targeted procedure that will only address cellulite dimples specifically in the treatment area. Patients can expect more uniform appearing, smoother skin following a single Avéli™ procedure.
Who is the ideal candidate for Avéli®?
The ideal Avéli® candidate is looking for a first of its kind reliable, efficient, and targeted approach to treating stubborn areas of cellulite dimples on the buttocks and thighs that other cosmetic procedures cannot address. Those looking to also address fat tissue and/or skin laxity are not ideal candidates for an Avéli® plastic surgery.
What is the average recovery associated with Avéli®?
Thanks to its targeted and localized approach, Avéli® requires minimal downtime following a single in office procedure for cellulite reduction. The majority of patients will be advised to prioritize recovery for the first 24 to 48 hours. Depending on the location and extent of a treatment, a patient may be advised to refrain from exercise and/or strenuous activity for a few days to weeks.
What are the potential side effects of Avéli®?
Avéli® side effects have been shown to be mild in clinical trials. Initial discomfort to the treated area typically resolves in 24 hours. Bruising and tenderness may last for up to one month. In some patients, small areas of firm tissues developed around the treated site and these resolved within a few months.
What can someone expect from the results of Avéli®?
The results of Avéli® will start to become visible quickly following the procedure. After the initial bruising and swelling subside, most patients will be able to enjoy the results of the treatment. This typically occurs around the one month mark. Initial clinical studies continue to show meaningful reductions in cellulite appearance following an Avéli® treatment at one year post procedure.
What is the average cost of Avéli®?
The actual cost of Avéli® will vary but generally falls between $4,000 and $6,000. Procedure cost is dependent on a candidate’s location, the board certified plastic surgeon, the involvement of the procedure, and the individual candidate.Pros
