About Fred Pockrass, DDS
Dr. Fred Pockrass. Imagine a Berkeley Dentist’s Office that embodies the kind of innovative thinking synonymous with Berkeley. Dr. Fred Pockrass has been a Restorative and General Dentist for more than 30 years. He graduated from McGill University, Montreal, Canada, and began his practice in Ottawa, the capital city of Canada, revitalizing the practice of a retiring Dentist. After eight years, Berkeley Dentist Dr. Pockrass fulfilled a life-long dream of studying with a meditation master in India and moved to the Himalayas. While there, he created a Western-style dental clinic and until late 2000, served as personal Dentist to a renowned Indian guru and provided dental care to clients from around the world. Always an avid student of the latest advances in Dentistry, he has completed the acclaimed PAC-Live program in Aesthetic Dentistry at University of the Pacific in San Francisco, CA and multiple advanced restorative courses through the Hornbrook Group. Dr. Pockrass has practiced meditation, yoga and Tai Chi for most of his adult life. His passion is transforming his clients’ experience of the Dentist and making each person an expert in their own oral well-being. Berkeley Cosmetic Dentist Dr. Fred Pockrass is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Biological Dentistry and serves on the Advisory Board of the Academy of Intuitive Medicine ( http://intuitionmedicine.org ). He is Canadian and American Board certified and licensed in Quebec and Ontario since 1981 and in California since 2001. Dr. Fred is married to Ina Pockrass, whom he met on the Big Sur coast in November of 2000. They opened the first office of Transcendentist® in March 2003 and co-parent two wonderful teenagers, Becca and Elliot.
