A patient journey.
September 13, 2021
My name is Colleen.
I live in New Jersey.
I'm married and I have two children.
Nolan, who is ten and Evie, who is eight.
For the last couple of years, when I'm getting ready in the morning and I'm putting on my makeup, my lips have been bothering me.
Nobody has ever commented on it.
It all comes from with inside me.
It's something that I notice, but it bothers me.
So I want to fix it. Although I've been wanting to do it for quite some time.
I didn't know all of my options until I discovered AEDIT to take action.
I started doing some research.
I found a great doctor and decided to schedule to get the lip fillers.
I was very excited.
The doctor came in.
They numbed me for a few minutes beforehand. All right, you guys were doing one of my favorite treatments, and it's very important to go to someone artistic
what they're doing when we do this it's called Lip Augmentation.
The doctor was great at keeping me calm and putting my mind at ease.
Just slow, very small amount.
See it rising.
Now what we're gonna do is.
give her definition.
This is going to treat the fine wrinkles.
This is going to give her a little more balance because her lower lip, for example, is not fully balanced compared to the upper.
And then we're gonna do a pillar technique where we go right above so that we can really define bow and improve the actual find wrinkles. Can't wait to show you. Actually it wasn't very painful at all. When I looked in the mirror the first time.
I think it was a reactionary laugh just because it was so different.
Seeing myself with the lip filler.
Wow. I was very happy to see it.
I was really thrilled with the immediate results. What do you think?
What a difference.
I don't see any of the lines that bother me. Another successful client.
That makes me happy.
Alright, we'll follow up with you within the next week.
When I walked out of the doctor's office, I felt like a new person.
I was walking down the street.
I knew I had a big smile on my face.
I felt like people were looking at me because I felt happier and I felt more confident.
It is seven days after my procedure, my lip fillers.
I had Juvéderm Vobella® injected into my upper and lower Lips.
When I woke up this morning, my lips felt great.
There was definitely a lot less swelling than there had been last night, and I was very pleased with the way my lips looked.
Lips look a little bit different.
Shinier. They do?
I have been happier.
I think there's just a different confidence and I feel like they are far more balanced than they were before.
I normally do a much more neutral lip, but I am so I just like them so much that I want to accentuate them.
My lips are definitely more pronounced than they were.
I like the cupid's bow.
I definitely see a lot less of those vertical lip lines that bothered me, and I can see that my lower Lips is a lot more balanced.
I really did this for myself.
I didn't do it because I was looking for other people to notice it or comment on.
It really felt empowered going in and making the decision for myself and it gave me the feeling that what I was doing was totally acceptable.
There was no judgment.
It didn't make me feel like I was doing something that I shouldn't be proud of doing.
Nolan! Evie time for school.
I love you. Love you too, bye mom.
I'm not trying to get Angelina Jolie's Lips.
I'm just trying to get back the Lips that I had five to ten years ago.
